We envision a world where young people find empowerment through acts of kindness.

Kids in the Service of Seniors (KISS) provides support, love and companionship. By turning the tables and giving back to the community of seniors, our kids develop enhanced self-esteem and a true appreciation for the value of service.

Utilizing the strategy brief we created a brand that is approachable, friendly, cheerful, and caring. The identity design needed to be bold but simultaneously exhibit youthful energy. We came up with a logotype that took advantage of the natural rhythmic curves of the ‘Ss’ and carried the motif to the typically hard ‘K’ and ‘i’ characters, softening them in the process. Connecting the S’s gave as a play on words that sometimes reads as ‘kids’ in some instances, making the first ‘S’ look like a lowercase ‘d.’

The color palette was created following the brief. Blue felt right for the project. It’s able to keep a subtle feel while maintaining a high saturation. To keep things simple, secondary or tertiary colors were not required. The logotype could be reversed out with white to help provide some variation.

The implementation of the visual identity was carried over to the company’s corporate stationary design kits, marketing materials, apparel, ancillary items, and the website.
